Background Information

Gerard Windstein, owner of EcoClean, has been involved in the cleaning industry for 25 years now.  He is a Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist^TM (CIE^TM), a Council-certified Residential Mold Inspector^TM (CRMI^TM), and a Certified Infrared Thermographer (CIT).  Gerard was one of the first Indoor Air Quality Association inspectors listed in Arizona and is very familiar with the arid climate and indoor environmental issues in the Phoenix metropolitan area.  His expertise and experience make him the perfect confidant with your indoor air quality questions.

For the past 10 years, Malica Christmann, has been a part of the EcoClean team.  In 2004, she became Gerard's business partner and is also a Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist^TM (CIE^TM).  With the combination of both Gerard and Malica, EcoClean is equipped with plenty of experience and knowledge to lead you toward a cleaner, healthier indoor environment.

Through years of experience and constant research within the industry we have made a commitment to help you find the least toxic and most cost-effective solutions and/or products for your home.

• Complete visual inspection of interior of residential structure looking for weaknesses and problem areas (For example: high ledges that collect dust or mold in refrigerator drip pans).

• Laser testing of air in each room of home to evaluate the level of particulate pollutants in air column. (Houses should read one hundred thousand to three hundred thousand particles per cubic foot of air.  Some houses have tested over ten million particles per cubic foot, which may explain why the occupants have had compromised health.)
• Reading of relative humidity in each room (Optimum levels between 30-50%).
• Dirt and dust sampling from carpet and upholstery for visual analysis of dust load.
• Testing of any humidifiers and air purifiers.
• Testing of vacuum cleaner to ensure it is doing the job it is designed to do.
• Moisture reading of drywall in plumbing areas to detect any possible water leaks.

• Complete visual inspection of interior of the residential structure.

• Dust sampling using dust collection device and 30 micron screen.

• Analytical services of collected samples utilizing an accredited laboratory performing an immunoassay for cat allergen, dog allergen, cockroach allergen and dust mite allergen  Der p1 and Der f1 (analytical services provided by Aerotech P&K Laboratories).

• Full data interpretation of analytical results to include summary page indicating the presence of contaminants above threshold limit values reported by laboratory data (TLV levels reference AIHA and ACGIH).

• Reference report with EPA recommended guidelines for self clean up or referral to an appropriate specialist.

• Complete visual inspection of the property utilizing the Mold Tech inspection software.
• Color photos of any suspect areas to include temperature and humidity readings.
• Moisture mapping of any visual moisture intrusion areas with infrared camera.
• Surface sampling of suspect area.
• On site consultation by a Council-certified Residential Mold Inspector^TM (CRMI^TM).
• Reference report with EPA and IICRC S500 and S520 recommended guidelines for self clean up or referral to an appropriate specialist.

• Complete visual inspection of the interior of the residential structure.

• Air sampling using calibrated sampling pump and spore traps. All air sampling is conducted using anticipated low-level outdoor baseline. This price includes 3 air samples (1 outdoors and 2 indoors).

• Analytical services of collected samples utilizing an accredited laboratory analyzing 100% of sample trace at 600 times light microscopy (analytical services provided by Aerotech P&K Laboratories).

• Full data interpretation of analytical results indicating if significant indoor levels are reported by laboratory data (significant levels reference IESO and ACGIH).

• Complete visual inspection of exterior and interior of residential structure utilizing the Mold Tech Software.
• Color photos of any suspect areas to include temperature and humidity readings.
• On site consultation by a Certified Residential Mold Inspector (CRMI).
• Air sampling using calibrated sampling pump and spore traps. All air sampling is conducted using anticipated low-level outdoor baseline. This price includes 3 air samples (1 outdoors and 2 indoors).
• Analytical services of collected samples utilizing an accredited laboratory analyzing 100% of sample trace at 600 times light microscopy.
• Full data interpretation of analytical results by an IAQA Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist^TM (CIE^TM) to include summary page indicating if significant indoor levels are reported by laboratory data (significant levels reference IESO and ACGIH).
• Reference report with EPA recommended guidelines for self clean up or referral to an appropriate specialist.

Air, bulk, or surface samples are collected on-site and delivered to Aerotech P&K an AIHA Environmental Accredited Laboratory for analysis and spore count reporting.  Standard lab turn-around time is approximately three business days.  Rush processing available for an additional $35 per sample.
